PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

With daily reminders about our economy's turbulence on the news, it is easy to feel as if your business's success is out of your control. However, even in uncertain economic times, your business's success is still well within your grasp. In fact, the most important factor to your company's success – client service – is completely within your control. Instead of fretting about whether the business community's sky is falling, consider the ways that you can better serve new and existing clients to ensure that you have the repeat business that will help you withstand the current economic challenges. While any decent salesperson can lure someone into purchasing a particular product or service based on a one time "fire sale" deal, only those who provide exceptional client service will be rewarded with the repeat business that companies need to excel. Most people agree that great customer service starts with earning the trust of potential or current clients. There is no better way to develop the relationships necessary to earn that trust than by becoming active in the Chamber. In August, there are numerous events that will allow Chamber members to meet each other and develop the relationships that could create the groundwork for future long-term business.
On August 13, please join us for our monthly Chamber luncheon. Our guest this month will be Leslie Unger, who will present to the Chamber about ways to "catapult sales."
If your ideal client includes other businesses, you will want to sign up to have a booth at this year's Business to Business Expo on October 15. Join us on August 20 for an early registration event at Chick-fil-A Macedonia to sign up for a booth in the Expo and learn more about the event.
Don't forget to dust off the golf clubs and join us on August 27 for our annual golf outing at the Hudson Country Club. The event will include a continental breakfast, a Chinese raffle, an opportunity for someone to win a 50" flat screen HDTV, and…oh yeah…golf!
